Jaime Macías is a renowned sports journalist and analyst. Born in 1987 in Guayaquil, Ecuador.  He discovered his passion for motorsport, broadcasting and soccer at a young age.

After competing in karting and playing soccer at a professional level he transitioned into broadcasting were he have covered multiple World Cups and broadcast the top soccer leagues and international tournaments worldwide.

In 2001, Jaime started racing karting, the same year his native Ecuador qualified to the FIFA World Cup for the first time. That triggered his interested in the sport. Soon after, he started train in one of the most important clubs in the country, Club Sport Emelec, where he was a goalkeeper for many years.

Jaime was only 16 years old when he commented live at the Malaysian Formula 1 Grand Prix on TV for the Ecuadorian rights holder.  

At age 22, he was the youngest talent of the Ecuadorian team who cover the South Africa 2010 – FIFA World Cup, while completing his journalism studies at University of Navarra, Spain and also serving as correspondent in Europe.

He returned to Ecuador in 2011, and for more than five years was TV and radio Host and Analyst as one of the main sportscasters in the country broadcasting the local league, World Cup Qualifiers and serving as correspondent for international global networks. 

In 2014, he was again on board for the coverage of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. And in 2015 was Champions League Analyst for local rights holders.

Talent and experience led Jaime to relocate to the United States where he has worked for several international global networks, covering major sporting events alongside the most prominent sport journalists on the planet.

Host and Soccer Analyst for MLS since 2021, Jaime is also, since mid 2022, On Air Soccer and Motorsports Analyst for NBC Universal Telemundo Enterprises.

Until 2023, Jaime and renowned Argentinian journalist Eduardo Biscayart, hosted Fútbol Infinito, a podcast they co-founded to analyze soccer, and transform the way of doing sports analysis and journalism, differentiating themselves from traditional networks and delivering directly to their audience.
